That\u2019s why we chose\u00a0<strong>crowdfunding<\/strong>\u00a0to launch our product &#8220;Firefly&#8221;, and not a traditional go-to-market strategy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here\u2019s why that decision made sense for us \u2014 and why it matters to the people who believe in what we\u2019re building.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>We Wanted to Build With, Not Just For, the Community<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Firefly was born from a very personal need: we didn\u2019t feel safe letting our kids ride to school. And the more we talked to other families and urban commuters, the more we realized that this was a\u00a0<strong>shared concern<\/strong>.<br>Crowdfunding allows us to\u00a0<strong>involve real people from day one<\/strong>.
